How To Reach Our Retreat
By Air
To get from Dehradun Airport (Jolly Grant Airport) to Mike’s Forest Retreat we would recommend taking a car/taxi.
The duration would be approximately 45–60 minutes to cover a distance of around 35–40 kms, depending on the route.
The ideal route would be Jolly Grant Airport → Thano → Raipur → Shahanshahi Ashram Road / Sherpur → Mike’s Forest Retreat.
Options could include prepaid taxi from the station, app cabs (Uber/Ola work in Dehradun, though availability may vary on outskirts), or Retreat-arranged pickup (call us in advance to schedule this).
By Rail
To get from Dehradun Railway Station to Mike’s Forest Retreat we would recommend taking a car/taxi.
The duration would be approximately 45–60 minutes to cover a distance of around 28–32 kms, depending on the route.
The ideal route would be Dehradun Railway Station → Prem Nagar → Selaqui → Sherpur → Mike’s Forest Retreat.
Options could include prepaid taxi from the station, app cabs (Uber/Ola work in Dehradun, though availability may vary on outskirts), or Retreat-arranged pickup (call us in advance to schedule this).
By Road
To reach Mike’s Forest Retreat by road, here are your options, depending on your starting point …
From Dehradun City Centre, the distance would be about 18–20 km, and duration about 40-50 minutes. The ideal route would be Rajpur Road or Haridwar Road → Raipur → Shahanshahi Ashram Road → Mike’s Forest Retreat.
From Delhi, the distance would be about 260–270 km, and duration about 5.5–7 hours (depending on traffic). The ideal route to take would be NH334 → Haridwar → Rishikesh Bypass → Dehradun Ring Road → Raipur → Mike’s Forest Retreat.
From Rishikesh/Haridwar: From Rishikesh the time and distance would be 1.5 hours (55–60 km). From Haridwar the time and distance would be 2 hours (75–80 km). Routes join near Dehradun and continue via Raipur. Once you cross Raipur and Shahanshahi Ashram, you’ll pass through quieter, greener roads. Signage for Mike’s Forest Retreat will appear—follow them. The approach includes a short forested road, suitable for most cars.
